What does it mean to “Detox Your Life”?
“Detox Your Life” means just that, you’ll learn to purge and get rid of all the things in your life that are holding you back, from the junk in your cabinets to the junk in your thoughts. You’ll learn actionable steps to clear the junk and find clarity in all aspects of your life, so you are left with space to fill with what makes you feel healthy, happy, and alive.
When you detox your life, you let go of what you don’t need and bring in more of what makes you thrive.
What is it?
Detox Your Life is a non-diet, non-workout approach to living healthy. This doesn’t mean you won’t be learning about or eating healthy foods, and it definitely doesn’t mean you won’t be up and moving. These are two of the key pieces to the program. What is does mean is that you learn how to indulge in deliciously healthy foods, as well as how to balance them out with your favorite “non-healthy” items aka wine, cheese, and chocolate. You’ll learn healthier alternatives that will satisfy you more, which means you’ll end up wanting or reaching for less. You’ll also learn that not everyone enjoys exercising the same way, and not every exercise works for every person. Instead, you’ll focus on finding what works best for you and your body.
Why is this important?
Because living a strict, rule-based lifestyle just doesn’t work in the long run, and a cleanse rarely prepares you for real life post-detox. For a few weeks or months, rules work really well and can be an important part of getting healthy. They can teach you how to reboot a healthy lifestyle and are possible to do for the short term. And without a long term plan, the stress and guilt start to settle in and your ego starts talking: What about after the diet or detox ends? Am I never allowed to have bread, chocolate, sugar, or wine again? What do I do if I want to eat something from the “no” list? What if I don’t feel like doing an intense 30-90 minute DVD for the rest of my life? What will happen to my body?
There is one surefire answer: with a stressed out mind, your body is sure to become out of balance, most likely causing you to suddenly gain weight due to stress-hormones going haywire.

Will I be hungry?
Nope. Not unless you aren’t eating enough, which is highly discouraged. This is a no deprivation plan, which means you are going to eat, drink, and stay full, with nutrients that nourish you, not leave you depleted and empty.
Will I be “Juicing”?
Yes and no. During the 21 days, I might share a juice recipe or two. This is merely a suggestion and a way to spice things up, but it is definitely not a requirement. If you hate juicing or don’t have a juicer, you can add a different item to your day. Remember this is all about experimenting and doing what is right for you.
Do I need a juicer?
No. See above.
Will I be cleansing or restricting my food intake?
Yes and no. You will be cleansing, but not in the way you might think. There are no big restrictions on your food. You can have meat, you can have dairy, you can have eggs, soy, chocolate, bread, and wine. The main thing is too eat more vegetables and consume higher quality food. You’ll be learning new alternatives to some of your favorite “forbidden” and trigger foods, stocking your kitchen and pantry so that you crave the good food you fill it with, and getting rid of the junk and junk food in your life. So no, you won’t be restricted to a vegan, all-juice diet, but yes, you will be cleansing your body by filling it with nourishing, healthy foods, moves, and thoughts.
What is the deal with the Facebook Group?
As part of your program, you get unlimited access to the online Facebook group, along with all the other participants. Access opens up before the program and lasts beyond the 21 days. This group might seem like part you can just brush off, but this really might be the most important part of the entire program. Why? Because this is where you find your community and your support. Your mom, bff, and hubby might be thinking you are crazy for going through this and might give you a ton of s&*% for signing up, but that’s because they just don’t understand. The Facebook group is full of people who do understand and are going through the same things as you. This is the place to ask questions, share your triumphs and challenges, and find supports from people all over the globe. Community is what helps build you up and keep you from falling when things get tough, I’ll be jumping on with updates, but his is your (private) forum to say what you need, be bold, and let it all go. You never know how your insights might help another person.
What if I’m not on Facebook?
No problem! The Facebook group is included, and is important, but is absolutely not mandatory. If you are on Facebook, its a powerful tool to find support from others, give support, and build a community of like-minded individuals who also crave a boldly happy and healthy life. If you are not on Facebook, you will still have support from daily emails, audios, and action steps, and of course, you can email me or signup for personal coaching sessions.
